Chili powder is sometimes known by the chili pepper used (such as cayenne pepper) and is incorporated in many different cuisines, including Tex-Mex, Indian, Chinese, Korean and Thai. This spice is used to add pungency and flavour to dishes.

There are mainly two types of cardamom – those with green seed pods (belong to the genus Elettaria) and those with dark brown seed pods (genus Amomum).

Nutmeg is the seed or ground spice that grow on an evergreen tree, with the scientific classification Myristica fragrans, also known as common nutmeg. Nutmeg is the spice made by grinding the seed of the fragrant nutmeg tree into powder.
